HERE IS A FEW WORDS FROM AUTHOR
ABOUT REASONS OF FOUNDING THIS WEBSITE:

• World War II is one of the darkest periods in history of men. The time goes by, the witnesses of this events are passing away. We choose to not remember about human tragedies, dramas that take places in homes and on the streets.
Maybe it is better to not remember about our daily moral decisions taken by people who are incompetent to do so. A war warps values because... war is evil. That is why we can not forget about it. Once somebody said that to forget about the war would be a bad thing because all of this might happen again.

• From time to time some voices arise saying that holocaust and other things are just a fiction or at least over exaggeration. At the time when this website was founded there were eye-witnesses of all those terrible events. They told
what they had experienced and witnessed in such places like camp with optimistic sign on entrance gate which said "Arbeit macht frei". The time is implacable- some day in the future there will be only pictures to attest about it.

• On this site you can find documentation of various periods and events from World War II. Here you can find true and genuine history. The content comes from motion chronicles made for documentation reasons but also for propaganda in order to influence particular nations. Since they did not have digital cameras at that time and it has been over 50 years since the war ended the quality might be poor.

• During a war nothing is clear like black and white. We have to be aware that crimes were committed on both sides- "invaders" and "liberators". For example- in III Reich there were people committed to Hitler by propaganda but there were also people who believed that chancellor will lead whole nation to ruin. A lot of them paid highest price for it. On the other hand Red Army lost many young men who died in defense of freedom, homes and families. Some of them went to battle deeply believed in it but some of them went there followed by their army mate's bullets. But the same heroic army abused German civilians (in particular women). On both sides of conflict there were soldiers and officers that followed honor rules but along with them were criminals and we have to remember that. A war is like gray thing with red spots
of blood on it (like this page).

• I hope that what you have seen (or what you are about to see) on our galleries will consolidate your feeling that every effort must be done to prevent us from military conflicts. Each conflict cause innocent people suffer. One of the war
criminals said that death of one hundred people is tragedy but killing millions is only an item in statistics. l leave it with no comment.

• Collected here pictures are arranged in theme categories- for people interested in particular subject. l recommend all galleries. You can see on those pictures joy and happiness but along with those tears and terror. These are the scenes from times where millions of people happened to live and die.

• All of this might look for you trivial. If you think so, recall your knowledge about World War II. If you happened to remember that Germany attacked Poland and then all nations joined together to defeat Hitler, l would rather recommend
you Polish or foreign websites about WW II. There is a section with links called "LINKS" which is to help you to discover all genuine pictures.

• There is no description of these pictures because of two things. Firstly- it would be almost impossible to do it, and secondly-I meant to show you the war in general not some technical details of particular vehicle. To get those details go to "LINKS".

• I truly hope that time l have spent on making this page is not wasted.
